What to know before you start
Import PDF pages or images and choose Low, Medium, High or Custom compression. PDF import rasterises pages. Prepare the result to see actual bytes; higher DPI does not recover missing detail.
Frequently asked questions
Does 600 DPI recover missing detail?
No. Output DPI controls pixel dimensions at the selected physical page size. It cannot restore text or detail absent from the source photograph. Check the prepared preview at a readable size.
